The Touring Model will carry most anything including your cross country gear, groceries, tools, and a bale of hay. It offers extremely low wind and rolling resistance, has greater weight and volume capacity and does not present the balancing problems of a one-wheeler in high winds or during slow climbs. If you need even more capacity, we offer longer versions using the Special Needs frames and a taller version, the Covered Wagon, which can be purchased with the Touring Model as a "Combo". This lets you switch back and forth as your needs dictate. |
|
The trailer sticks out about 2 - 2 1/2 inches beyond average handle bars. It rides quite nicely on the edge of narrow highways, even when the right wheel at times drops down over the shoulder. Passing auto traffic usually give you a much wider berth than they would without the trailer. |
|
Pictured above is the longer version (8 1/2") of the Touring Trailer. It gives you additional capacity without the increased wind resistance of the Covered Wagon. |

The bare trailer has been used for a variety of uses including photography, electrical repair, propane tanks, deer recovery, package delivery, recycling, etc. Just fashion an interior to suit your particular needs. |

The Rubbermaid 28.8 gal. Jumbo Clear (No. 2268) is a perfect fit in the bare trailer. The Roughneck 28 gal. (106 liter) available at Ace Hardware will also fit. |

"Finally, thank you for making such a wonderful bicycle trailer. What performance and handling. The volume is incredible. I've got a Burley cargo trailer which I'm now having to go back to (while his frame is being returned and replaced under the lifetime warranty) - what a drag. The attachment and handling is not even close to Cycletote's"

”I am writing you this letter to testify to the superior quality, design and awesome lifetime warranty of your CycleTote trailer. I would also like to thank you for the quick turn around time in responding to my warranty claim and getting my new trailer to me in record time, especially considering the fact of my remote location and the difficulties encountered in shipping to this location.
The trailer is of superior quality and design and I know of no other bike trailer that could come close to the performance of the CycleTote. I can say this with confidence as I have used this trailer extensively for 10 years to haul heavy loads (i.e. 100+ lb. of fuel for genny, tote with 60 lb. groceries & 40/50 lb. of laundry strapped on top, etc.) on hilly, dirt, potholed roads.
Your warranty and business ethic are reminiscent of that era of American business which took pride in the quality and workmanship of their products. I wish all businesses in the manufacture of products would get back to that mindset of developing and manufacturing a quality product and standing behind that product unconditionally as you do. You did not even ask me how my trailer was damaged but with pleasant demeanor, shipped me a new one in record time.
It's been a pleasure doing business with you.”
